How to display a front license plate with no place for it? - problem rear license plate holder bmw

Recently moved to Virginia from Louisiana. My car is insured and registered. Now, Louisiana, needs only a rear plate, while Virginia requires a front plate back. Problem: My car has no place in front of the windshield. The way forward is determined not to let me live through both. I contacted the DMV about this and the person who do not know just what to do. All suggestions on how to (legally) to display the item record?
